A word from our founder

Greetings to all interested in learning more about the food, farming, and holistic arts in Cincinnati and the Tri-State region. We hope that through the content shared here, we continue growing our community to become less dependent on the current system, and more dependent on one another. I was introduced to a famous quote by Buckminster Fuller while planning the restart of this chapter, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” This community and website are the manifestation of that sentiment.

Historically the local chapter had been thriving in past years; however, for the last couple of years prior to 2020 there had not been formal group. After an inspiring gathering at the Rogue Food Conference hosted by Joel Salatin and John Moody, I was driven to do something. That something began the process of restarting the local chapter in March 2020. After an initial pause secondary to the unknown times, it was time to move forward toward a new path. Since October 2020, the chapter has been hosting regular meetings.
